The following guide covers Fraudulent IPTV review sites Which you should avoid at all costs!
The Internet is full of thousands of scam sites that lie to their visitors in exchange for money.
And in the IPTV/streaming industry, there is no shortage of scams IPTV Review websites that provide false information to generate revenue.
After hours of my own research, I wanted to put together this article to show you guys which IPTV review sites are scams and why you should avoid visiting them.
IPTV legality
Before diving too far, it’s important to understand The legality of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV).
IPTV in itself is not illegal. The concept of watching live TV online has been around for several years. YouTube TV, fuboTV, etc. are technically IPTV services.
However, where IPTV crosses legal boundaries is an issue Not verified IPTV services.
Our review team defines “unverified” IPTV services as those that are not available on reputable app stores such as Google Play, Amazon, or Apple.
At IPTV Wire, we have legal disclaimers throughout our site that state:
Legal Disclaimer: IPTV WIRE does not own or operate any IPTV service or streaming application. We do not host or distribute any applications. We do not check whether IPTV services or app developers hold the appropriate license. The end user is solely responsible for media accessed through any device, application, add-on or service mentioned on our site.
For a 100% legal IPTV service, we recommend IPTV WIRE Vidjo.
“IPTV WIRE does not own or operate any IPTV service or streaming application. We do not host or distribute any applications. We have no affiliation with any IPTV service, app or add-on. We do not check whether IPTV services or app developers hold the appropriate license. The end user is solely responsible for media accessed through any device, application, add-on or service mentioned on our site.
Unverified IPTV service operators are also known to be Linked to organized crime, Such as trafficking, arms and drug trafficking, etc.
Therefore, any association with unverified IPTV services/operators can lead to legal problems.
This includes reselling, affiliate partnerships, or even running your own IPTV service with unauthorized access to live channels.
If you don’t believe me, let’s review the story of former YouTuber “Touchtone”.
Touchtone IPTV Affiliate/Distributor
Back in June of 2022, the operators of the once popular ‘Nitro TV’ were arrested and… It was ordered to pay more than $100 million in compensation for the hacking.
Investigators handling “Nitro TV” also discovered a former YouTuber named “Touchtone” who marketed Nitro TV to his audience and even experimented with it.
According to what was stated in a news report about torrentfreakTouchtone was then investigated by ACE (Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment) and eventually charged.
Touchtone’s lawsuit notes that, where appropriate, individuals who promote pirated IPTV services on YouTube and elsewhere online, in order to profit from their sale, could also become targets of anti-piracy authorities.
Now that you have a better understanding of the legality of IPTV, let’s dive into scam review sites.

Fraudulent IPTV review sites
Like most people, if you search for “best IPTV services” or “IPTV services” on Google, you will likely see search results similar to mine.
The funny thing is that all the three listed sites give false information about IPTV services and are scams if you dig deeper. lets take alook.
1. Software testing instructions
A software testing help site must be trustworthy if it ranks #1 on Google for “Best IPTV Services” right?
If you visit their Best IPTV Services page, you will find their “Top Recommendations” for IPTV services.
But when you hover over the “Visit Site” buttons, you will notice the following URL structure – https://softwaretesthelp.com/Xtreme-HD.
If you wait a few seconds, you will be redirected to the URL shown below with your affiliate ID “AF=2808.”
In other words, they appear to be an affiliate partner of many unverified IPTV services. Based on Touchtone’s scenario, one can assume that this is illegal.
What makes this site worse in my opinion is that it blatantly copies my photos. Notice how it says “bodhi” at the bottom right of the “Xtreme HD IPTV” image.
Keeps away: Avoid visiting this scam IPTV review site for reliable information!
2. Fire stick tricks
Firestick Tricks is a scam website operating out of the United States (India) and does not contain reliable information.
I have personally noticed that this site copies articles and images not only from IPTV Wire, but from many others in the cord cutting community.
This image, for example, can be found on our website Nikon IPTV review.
In terms of credibility, if you visit their “Best IPTV Services” page, you will find that this site ranks “Gemini Streamz” and “Hypersonic TV” in the top five.
By the way, both services were shut down over a year ago. However, someone who is new to the IPTV industry will have no idea and trust this information.
Keeps away: Avoid visiting this scam IPTV review site for reliable information!
3. Teacher99
Guru99 is another international website that contains false information that cannot be trusted.
Similar to Software Testing Help, if you click on the “Learn More” buttons on their Best IPTV page, it redirects you to a URL with an affiliate ID.
If you hover over the “Learn More” button for Honey Bee IPTV, you will find that the URL displays “aff.php?aff=9” which means they have some sort of affiliate partnership going.
In addition, this site is a wide range of topics that have nothing to do with IPTV or live streaming. They are clearly copying information elsewhere when it comes to IPTV.
Keeps away: Avoid visiting this scam IPTV review site for reliable information!
4. Compare IPTV
IPTV Compare is another scam IPTV review website that you should be aware of. Take a look at this example – “How to make money from IPTV”
They have a complete guide that shows the end user how to profit from illegal IPTV activities.
This includes creating your own platform, monetizing content, paying subscriptions, affiliate marketing, and more.
Another thing worth noting is that all the IPTV services they promote have similar websites, prices, content offerings, and other details.
This makes me wonder if the “IPTV Compare” operators also have an association with unverified IPTV services. But who knows?
Keeps away: Avoid visiting this scam IPTV review site for reliable information!
5. VPNMentor
Last but not least is the popular VPN review site called VPNMentor.
Although VPNMentor does not focus specifically on IPTV reviews, this site is known for its “expert” VPN reviews.
If you visit their “Best VPN Services” page and hover over the ownership disclosure, you’ll find that VPNMentor’s parent company is Cape Technologies plc.
Now who is Kape Technologies? This happens to be the company behind ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access (PIA), CyberGhost, and other SaaS products.
If you read VPNMentor’s article “Best VPN Services of 2023”, isn’t it interesting how all of Kape Technologies’ VPNs ranked in the top three?
Wizcase
In addition to VPNMentor, Kape Technologies has another popular review website called “Wizcase”.
And it’s the same story as VPNMentor – if you visit Wizcase’s “Best VPNs of 2023” page, you’ll find Kape Technologies’ VPNs ranked in the top three.
Keeps away: Avoid visiting these scam review sites for reliable information!
Scam IPTV Review Sites – Final Thoughts
If you’ve made it this far, I hope my article has helped inform you of some scam IPTV review sites to avoid getting tipped off.
No, my website, YouTube channel, and I are not perfect. But I do my best and do my due diligence to review/test services and apps instead of outright lying to my site visitors.
I truly appreciate everyone who visits my website and relies on me for reliable information.
Without you, I wouldn’t be able to turn my hobby into a full-time career that I’m grateful for every day. Thank you!
