- 8 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 8 cheese slices
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Oil for frying
- 8 wooden skewers
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form the batter.
- Shape the ground beef into 8 elongated patties. Place a slice of cheese on each, then wrap with cooked bacon. Skewer each with a wooden stick.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Dip each skewered patty into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.
- Fry each corn dog for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
