Description

Get ready for a flavor-packed twist on classic fair food with our Deep-Fried Bacon Cheeseburger Corn Dogs. These treats combine the juiciness of a cheeseburger with the crispy, nostalgic pleasure of a corn dog.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 cheese slices
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Oil for frying
  • 8 wooden skewers

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form the batter.
  • Shape the ground beef into 8 elongated patties. Place a slice of cheese on each, then wrap with cooked bacon. Skewer each with a wooden stick.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Dip each skewered patty into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.
  • Fry each corn dog for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken.
  • Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent soggy corn dogs.
