Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
- Drop dough by spoonfuls onto prepared sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set but still soft. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Notes: For a more intense flavor, replace semi-sweet chocolate chips with bittersweet chocolate. Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them moist and chewy.
