Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

  • Author: Marie Lavigne
  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
  4. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto prepared sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set but still soft. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Notes: For a more intense flavor, replace semi-sweet chocolate chips with bittersweet chocolate. Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them moist and chewy.
