- 1 loaf of French bread
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Hollow out the French bread loaf, saving the top and interior for dipping later.
- In a large bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar, diced ham, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Serve with the reserved bread pieces, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
- Substitute ham with bacon for a different flavor profile.
- This dip is best served hot, so keep it warm if serving over a longer period.
