- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the chicken drumsticks.
- In the slow cooker, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the sauce.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the slow cooker and toss them gently to coat with the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Optional: For a caramelized finish, place the cooked drumsticks on a baking sheet, brush with some of the sauce from the slow cooker, and broil for 2-3 minutes until slightly charred.
- Serve warm with your choice of sides.
