- 1 large baguette or Italian loaf
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes for added spice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, olive oil, parsley, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered halves.
- Place on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- For a crispier top, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Cut into slices and serve warm.
